Analisis Faktor Penghambat dan Pendorong Minat Siswa terhadap Pembelajaran Kimia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis secara kualitatif faktor-faktor penghambat dan pendorong minat siswa terhadap Mata Pelajaran Kimia, dengan membandingkan pengalaman di Sekolah Unggulan (SU) dan Sekolah Pinggiran (SP) di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Minat belajar adalah prasyarat keberhasilan dalam memahami konsep Kimia yang kompleks dan abstrak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Studi Kasus Kualitatif Komparatif Multisitus melibatkan 40 partisipan: 2 Guru Kimia (SU dan SP), 20 Siswa Kunci (10 SU dan 10 SP), 4 Orang Tua, dan 4 Kepala Sekolah/Wakil Kurikulum. Data dikumpulkan melalui Wawancara Mendalam, Observasi Kelas, dan Analisis Fasilitas Laboratorium. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi Faktor Instrumen (laboratorium dan ketersediaan alat) sebagai penghambat dominan di SP, sementara Faktor Pedagogis-Afektif (kompleksitas materi dan metode guru) menjadi penghambat di SU. Siswa SU didorong oleh Motivasi Ekstrinsik Tinggi (persaingan masuk PTN), sementara siswa SP didorong oleh Motivasi Mastery Personal (keingintahuan). Studi menyimpulkan bahwa kualitas pedagogi dan kontekstualisasi materi lebih krusial daripada fasilitas fisik dalam menumbuhkan minat. Rekomendasi melibatkan pengembangan Pedagogi Kimia Kontekstual yang relevan dengan latar belakang sosial-ekonomi siswa.
